Non-ordinary states brought about by intentional use of sacred plant medicines or psychedelic substances can dramatically alter our perception of ourselves and the way we experience the world. We are creating this group to give you an opportunity to discuss your experiences in a safe, confidential, non-judgmental container.
Run by Jason Foster and Adrian Scharfetter, this group combines group conversation with didactic teaching and experiential exercises. In the previous incarnation of this group, we discussed Aldous Huxley’s model of the Perennial Philosophy, explored our relationship with the Hero’s Journey, did some mandala work, and talked about harm reduction. One of the richest themes of the group was spirituality and how psychedelic experiences offer opportunities to explore who we are and how we relate to life. Participants found that the most valuable aspect of the group was simply having a place to talk about their experiences in an accepting atmosphere. All group members will be invited to share their experiences and no one will be required to participate.
Each group is a living system, so the content of this group will be determined largely by the needs of the individual members and the group as a whole. The only requirement is that you must be genuinely curious about yourself.
Dates: TBD (6-8 week series)
Cost: $25 per meeting
Group size limit: 12 people
Location: Seattle (Greenwood)
Participants are asked to commit to the full series, so we can build trust and deepen our work together. We realize that life gets in the way and you may not be able to attend all meetings. We do ask that you attend at least the first two, and at least two more after that. You may register by telephone or email (contact info below). Questions are welcome.
We are currently trying to find enough people that can find a common evening that works for all of us. If you are interested in attending either the full series or future free intro meetings, please contact Jason.
